SINGLE FRENCH ANTIQUE PAINTED LOUIS XV MARRIAGE BONNETIERE / ARMOIRE

This delightful antique French armoire has a wonderful, raised carved basket of flowers to the curved top
with other attractively carved panels and is made from solid oak.
Other decorative features include the ornate brass lock escutcheon and long single metal hinge.
The interior consists of shelving and there is an external drawer to the base.
This armoire would have been made to store linen / quilts etc.
With a working lock and key and is in excellent condition for its age and strong and sturdy.
Painted in Farrow and Ball Ammonite with a dark wax finish.

It is hard to find an armoire such as this with these smaller proportions which makes it
a versatile piece of furniture for any room.

Measurements Externally : 199cm tall x 90.5cm wide at the top x 48cm deep at the top.
This armoire should be attached to the wall.
