WONDERFUL FRENCH ANTIQUE HENRI II STYLE PAINTED ARMOIRE - c.1900
This wonderful French antique armoire dates from around 1900 and is in the Henri II style.
Painted in Farrow and Ball 'Pavillion Grey' with 'Wimborne White' highlighs the armoire has been
lightly distressed and given a dark wax finish.
With superb detailed carving throughout featuring
a crest with laurel wreath to the shaped
top with leaves and a ribboned bow above the doors and finials to each corner.
There are fluted columns either side of the original bevelled
glass mirrored doors which are
in superb condition for their age. The interior is painted in Pavillion Grey and can
be fitted with shelves or could have hanging rails fitted from front to back inclusive in the price.
There is a useful exterior drawer to the base of the armoire which again has carved
and a ribboned bow the the front and ornate brass handles to the drawer.
The armoire has
been fully treated with a woodworm preventative as a matter of course and is in
strong and sturdy condition
with minor knocks and bumps in keeping with its age.
Measurements 236cms tall x width 133cms x Depth 57cms. The internal depth is 40cms.
