RARE ANTIQUE PINE TENNIS BOX

A rare pine antique Lawn Tennis box in very good condition with black metal carrying handles.

On the inside of the lid is a print in black and white with the word TENNIS printed
across the top and showing tenis court, rackets and stylishly dressed Edwardian players.
The 'Maltese Cross' marked in each corner of the print is possibly that
of F.H.Ayres who were eventually taken over by Slazenger. There are no fittings within the box,
but overall a very decorative item, with some minor blemishes in keeping with its age.
