WONDERFUL ANTIQUE FRENCH 'OEIL DE BOEUF' WALL CLOCK circa late 1800s
This decorative antique French 'Oeil de Boeuf' wall clock dates from the late 1800's
and has a striped ebonised and scumbled wooden surround, inlaid mother of pearl decoration
and a metal enamel dial with Roman numerals. The clock does run and appears to be in good
working order with good springs though we cannot guarantee its accuracy as it may
require some lubrication or further inspection for this.
Comes complete with pendulum and original winding key.
The brass surround around the clock face has a small wrinkle to one area and there
is a little dust in between the sealed glass and mother of pearl inlay.
There are also signs of old woodworm which are long since gone but the clock has
been fully treated for woodworm as a preventive.
It measures 62cms tall x 49 cms wide x 15cms deep.
