ANTIQUE FRENCH COUNTRY COMPTOISE CLOCK c1900

This super antique French rustic comptoise clock dating from around 1900 has a pine case which
has been given a varnish finish with handpainted landscape scene.
The enamel face has a name 'Victor Lemoine' with a place name 'à Montbert'.
The pressed brass surround depicts peacocks and swans with grapes and leaves.
The superbly decorative pressed brass pendulum is in very good condition.
The mechanism appears clean and complete, it has its original winding key and though we have not tried to
get it to work feel confident that it would take only a small amount of work to do so - the cast iron
weights require attaching to the cords. The case has been fully treated with a woodworm preventative
as a matter of course.

It measures 7ft 7 inches tall x maximum width 19 1/2 inches (45cms).
